Join me at the ANS Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase for an art and nature sketchbook workshop.  We will go outside for a walk in the woods, look at native trees in their fall splendor and create a sketchbook page.

We will spend a little time outside looking closely at nature and sharing observations of several beautiful native tree specimens. I will show you how to create a journal sketchbook page using line, color and handwritten notes that describe your walk in the woods.  It is a relaxing way to sit and record seasonal observations.  After showing you a few sketchbook examples, I will introduce you to my favorite sketching art supplies and guide you through a sketch. You will be on your way to keeping a sketchbook after your walks in the woods.  The only experience required is a love for our native trees.
