botanicals
I love walking along woodland trails, there is a sense of discovery each time I encounter new and familiar plants.
As I sit down to draw a plant, I try to be present with how it is built and moves in space. It is a process of discovery as I try to capture a sense of this plant. If I am outside drawing from life I might see the insects it depends upon in its native habitat, or a response to seasonal change.
