Join Tina at Brookside Gardens School of Botanical Art for an Art Workshop dedicated to understanding how plants are built and drawing these botanical details.
If you love plants, want to understand how they are built and create drawings of their leaves and flowers, then this workshop is for you. You will learn how to observe and identify plants, as well as understand their anatomy through dissection. Tina will demonstrate how to use the Newcombe's wildflower guide to identify plants, show you the intricate parts of the flower, leaf and structure under a magnifying glass. Each class has demonstrations on how to identify and draw the pistil, stamen, pedicel, leaf and stem using pen, ink and color pencil.
